Hello fellow wanderers!

Welcome to this blog… hopefully, here you will find entertaining afternoon reading, showing you special parts of Scotland and some curious stories or even, who knows, ideas for your next adventure.

If you are reading this, and feel like you want to go out and discover more of what this beautiful land has to experience, then you are already a wanderer at heart… it’s how it all started for me…

about me notebook

After getting my PhD in Medical Sciences life took me to have to choose family over career, and I eventually moved to the northeast of Scotland. There, I tried to settle with a career in finance, but I would pack my backpack and go on an adventure amongst Scottish wilderness whenever possible. With time, however, I could hear the hills calling and, for an unsettled Aquarian, I knew that’s what I had to do. I simply had to follow my heart and my dreams of roaming in the wild… others may call it simply middle age crisis! It’s these adventures I want to share with you, and inspire you to get out more and do it consciously. At the same time, why not learn about the history of the area to enrich your knowledge. By learning something about a particular place, you give a soul to your walk and it simply becomes more interesting because you know something about it. Let’s enjoy together all the treasures and mysteries Scotland has to discover and let ourselves immerse in them for a few hours.

Some of you might think you’re not fit enough or you’re not that young anymore… well, neither am I! Some of us definitely won’t be climbing mount Everest, and our bodies won’t be capable of doing the same things as when we were 20 but if we don’t do it now, tomorrow will bring even more challenges to our will. So now is the time to do it. May it be a walk around your village where you discover things you never noticed before, or an attempt to climb your first Munro, just make it your adventure. You are never too old to go on a journey, who knows where you might end… It all starts with the first step.
